What are some good books about the research of twins and the grammar they use?

Meaning, basically, that I would like books that talk about grammar as a gene in our DNA vs an environmental thing. They don't necessarily have to be about twins and research thereof, but I would like them to contain valid research about the idea of a grammar gene. Thanks!

  1. Grammar is NOT genetic. Language, and, thus, grammar, is learned. Period.
  2. Seems the research on this area is more linked with language disorders than grammar as such. Grammar gene was just a journalist label on the research. Can't seem to find any books, think you will have more luck with peer reviewed journal articles. These are usually available via schools or universities that subscribe to various databases. A search in one of these (PsycInfo) via my university came up with 132 results for grammar gene, from a quick glance at abstract I think you will have no problems finding something that suits. This website had some interesting facts, but is not per reviewed so not suitable for referencing in a professional body of work. http://www.wired.com/medtech/health/news/2001/10/47273
