What type of jobs allow you to research and interact with reef environments and just fish in general?
I love researching things information about organisms in my aquarium as well as science in general. What type of jobs could allow me to research, investigate, and interact with this environment? Also what majors would help me to get to this stage? Also how much do said people make annually ( something less important than the other two questions)? thanks so much for any helpful insight!

- A major in entomology? As for the question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bee#Nocturnal_bees
- Marine Biology. You can get a B.A. in Biology and later on a Master's and PhD in Marine Biology or Oceanography, though there are also universities that offer B.A.s in Marine Biology as well. "A marine biologist who works as a scientist makes very little to start out, about 25,000 to 30,000 per year, but makes more as they advance in their career, maybe 40,000 or 50,000 or more. There is no set standard, but most scientists do not make a lot of money. Marine biologists who work as teachers, at aquariums, or in industry could make more to start out, and eventually make as much as 75,000 per year. The average scientist starting out after their PhD makes about 35,000 per year, on average for all sciences, according to one source I saw recently." You can specialize in Coral Reef Ecology after you finish your studies. The University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez offers an excellent and affordable Marine Science program that I think you might like.
- Marine Biology or oceanography.
