Which common expenses can you deduct from your income tax in Canada?

I just learned that I can deduct medical expenses. I did not know that in the past. What other common expenses can you deduct that I don't know about? The only thing I have deducted in the past is charity contributions. I work as a helper for a contractor in construction, are there any expenses I can deduct with that? Tools? Work clothes? Safety gear?
