What are all the typical expenses that an adult would encounter?

I am going to move out soon and am not going to be completely independent, but will mostly be. I was wondering what typical expenses i should be willing to take on.

  2. don't forget laundry...it will eat up your quarters soaps, toliet paper, toothpaste...all those personal items you just can't do without. And health insurance if it's not provided by your employer. Also save some for when you get sick cause you'll have co-pays, deductables or meds to take care of. Don't get a pet. I know everyone wants a pet but they are expensive. Wait until you are firmly settled before you get a pet. Have fun, it's a wonderful experience living on your own. And don't fret, times will get tough sometimes but they always seem to get better. Just think positive and positive will come to you.
